Terry Pickett of Lafayette, LA was included in the 2013 Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges list. Pickett is a senior majoring in behavioral science.

Thirty-two students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have been included on the 2013 list for Who’s Who. Inclusion is based on several factors, according to information on the organization’s online site at www.whoswhoamongstudents.com. Selection factors include: GPA; participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities; community involvement; and future leadership ability or potential.

The honor is bestowed upon students at 2,842 schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Recipients are selected based on nominations done by committees at their respective schools. Students are not allowed to nominate themselves.

UL Lafayette is the second-largest university in Louisiana, with nearly 17,000 students. It’s among national leaders in areas such as computer science, biology, engineering, architecture and nursing.

UL Lafayette is among the top 200 public universities in the nation in research and development funding.
