Kanitthar Hartman Attends University of Louisiana at Lafayette Mission Transition Conference

Kanitthar Hartman of Leander, TX, was selected to attend the first University of Louisiana at Lafayette Mission Transition Conference in January.

Juniors and seniors attended this workshop to prepare for life after graduation. They participated in sessions such as resume writing, financial independence, networking, and mock interviews. Students heard from University graduates on what life is like after college.

Guest speakers included Ben Berthelot, executive director of the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission; Lynn Fowler, regional president of Mid-South Bank; Sarah Berthelot, chief of philanthropy of the United Way; Cydra Wingerter, director of resource development of the United Way; Joelle Boudreaux, volunteer services director of Habitat for Humanity; and Jason Guilbeau, American Cancer Society.

Mission Transition is helping prepare graduates to be successful in the work force and in post-graduate work.
