Jordan Daigle Selected as SOUL Camp Mentor at University of Louisiana at Lafayette

2012 Nov 8

Jordan Daigle of Belle Chasse, LA, has been selected as a lead student mentor for the SOUL Camp program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

SOUL Camp is a UL Lafayette orientation program that provides students with tools to ensure a successful transition into campus life. Students gain a better understanding of campus involvement activities, campus traditions and history, the Lafayette area and community, as well as an appreciation for service and campus diversity. Students also develop personal leadership plans during camp.

Upperclassmen, such as Jordan, serve as experienced student mentors to SOUL Camp participants. These lead mentors help guide students on the importance of being engaged in campus life and dedication to strong academic performance.

UL Lafayette is the second-largest university in Louisiana, with nearly 17,000 students. It's among national leaders in areas such as computer science, biology, engineering, architecture and nursing.

UL Lafayette is among the top 200 public universities in the nation in research and development funding.

Its student-athletes – Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns® – compete in NCAA Division I, the highest level of collegiate competition.
