Isaiah Mayfield Selected as Peer Mentor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette

University of Louisiana at Lafayette student Isaiah Mayfield of New Orleans, LA was recently selected as a peer mentor.

Peer mentors are upper classmen who are paired with faculty members and assigned a section of UNIV 100/Cajun Connection Class, where they serve as class facilitators and role models. Peer mentors' goals are to support learning for first-year students and ease their transition into the university.

UL Lafayette is the second-largest university in Louisiana, with nearly 17,000 students. It's among national leaders in areas such as computer science, biology, engineering, architecture and nursing.
