University of Louisiana at Lafayette student, Dylan Pontiff of Scott, LA was recently appointed to the Student Orientation Staff, the University's premiere student leadership group. Selection to staff is extremely competitive, and these students represent some of the best and brightest at the University. Pontiff is a freshman majoring in accounting.
UL Lafayette's Student Orientation Staff members facilitate the University's orientation programs, welcoming over 3,000 new students and parents to campus each year.
Members participate in an intensive leadership development course during spring semester, designed to prepare them for their roles as members of the team and enhance their personal and team leadership skills in group problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, multicultural understanding, program planning, and team building.
UL Lafayette is the second-largest university in Louisiana, with nearly 17,000 students. It's among national leaders in areas such as computer science, biology, engineering, architecture and nursing.
